Received this email. Can you help with any info?
Need information: Around the 1st of October 1971 I got a 3 month early out, didn't want to wait. I got a flight on a body detail to Okinawa. I don't recall pilot's or crew's names or type of plane, (maybe C-141 transport) or if it was Army or Air force. I was Army SP4 Jan 69 to Oct 71, Vietnam Oct. 70 - Oct 71. A jeep arrived for me in Phu Lam, went to Tan Son Nhut Air Force Base. The plane was loaded with casualty's, aluminum like boxes called (TARFF case's I think) they were stacked down the middle jump seats along the sides where I sat. Some of the crew came back and talked for a while. I carried a 6.5 French Mouser which I captured and was taking home. I would like to find out if there would be anyway to find flight list, names and if my name would be on flight list. Also I had to register the 6.5 rifle with army to bring it home. Is there somewhere that I can get info on these things? Any help or ideas would be appreciated. You can email me at rlpurdy@netzero.net or erpurdyus@yahoo.com.
Thank you for any help and WELCOME HOME
